England COVID Roadmap Spring 2021 – Step 2
Current arrangements at our practices – updated Monday 12th April
Hillsborough – from Monday 12th April we are delighted to be finally allowed to invite you into the consulting rooms again. Please wait in the car park and phone us on 0114 2343013 to let us know you are here – we won’t know you have arrived if you don’t call us. Please take extra care in the car park if bringing your car in – there is limited parking space as it is. If possible and if you are able to, please use any available roadside parking and walk to the surgery. In wet weather there is a canvas covered area at the back of the car park to protect you from the elements – please feel free to use this – you will not lose your place in the queue. When it is your turn to be seen, a vet or nurse will escort you to the consulting room. Each patient can be accompanied by 1 client. Our clients are asked to wear a mask or face covering, and to use the available hand sanitiser on entry. Payments should preferably be by card, and are requested after each consultation. We are only allowed 2 clients in the reception area at a time, so some reception tasks may be performed in the consulting room.
Crookes – from Monday 12th April, 2 patients are allowed in the building at any time – one in the waiting room and one in the consulting room. Each patient can be accompanied by 1 client. Our clients are asked to wear a mask or face covering, and to use the available hand sanitiser on entry. If the waiting room has one person in when you arrive, please wait outside and form a queue on the pavement. There are no wet weather arrangements at Crookes – please dress for the weather! Payments should preferably be by card, and are requested after each consultation.

Vaccines & Pet Care Plan 6-month checks – we are currently catching up with vaccinations after the lockdown period earlier this year – we’re about a month behind currently. Please wait for your booster reminder cards to come through. Puppies and kittens are being done on time at the normal intervals. We are currently not performing the 6 month check ups, unless you have a concern about your animal, in which case please explain this when you ring up and we will arrange an appointment for you. Otherwise your PCP flea and worm treatments can be collected from the surgery – give us a call and we’ll put them up ready for you to collect. Your Direct Debt should continue to run, providing you with your discount on the flea and worm medication compared to purchasing it as you go, and your usual 10% discount on products and services.
